Vincent Brogan is a native of Tyrone and has a fund of knowledge about its people and places. Having spent most of his working life in Local Government, he has made many contacts in the region. Born and brought up in Omagh, he has an intimate knowledge of the local community, past and present. He has worked with the rural community for many years in community development and understands the subtle nuances of local life.
He has had a life long interest in local history and archaeology and is a founder member of the local Family History Society.
His services include a walking tour of Omagh, looking at its development and more recent events which brought it to world prominence. The archaeology of the Sperrins region is another interest.
Transport can also be provided to other centres in Tyrone and Ireland.
Vincent lived in Belfast during the troubled years of the 1970s and was involved in cross community work. He retains an intimate knowledge of the city, and can provide both driving and walking tours of Belfast, including its murals and Titanic Quarter.
Visits to other attractions such as the North Coast, with the Giant’s Causeway and Bushmills Distillery, can be arranged as well as a tour of Derry’s Walls.
Personalised tours can be designed to reflect your interest and genealogy research carried out prior to, or during your visit. See website (tyroneroots.com)
